The TTRNA tells Government: “stop plans that require mandatory vaccination for nurses”

The Trinidad and Tobago Registered Nurses Association (TTRNA) is calling on government to “cease punitive and negative sanctions” following news that government workplaces would require vaccinated workers, and those that aren’t, face being furloughed.

The TTRNA said it’s pro-vaccine but also pro-choice and outlined its position following an emergency meeting.

TTRNA’s 2nd Vice President Laticia Cox said that some nurses have said if they are forced to take the vaccine they prefer to work abroad where there is a better remuneration package.
