Tobago will now host a Day of Prayer on the first day of each month, after one resident recommended the population pray for the island.
This will commence on New Year’s Day.
Residents are encouraged to pray for the island, wherever they are located and at any time, on this monthly day of observance.
Tobago House of Assembly Chief Secretary, Farley Augustine, made the disclosure during the first district town hall meeting at the Bethesda Multi-Purpose Facility.
In a media release on Thursday, Mr Augustine said the meetings provide an opportunity for Executive Council members to share updates on existing and up-coming programmes and projects, and gives residents a chance to talk to THA representatives about the issues affecting them.
