Three measures are agreed upon by the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection in the Tobago House of Assembly following discrepancies identified in the Auditor General’s report.
The report was dated April 28th 2022.
In a media release on Thursday, the Division said the report was reviewed.
It said the Administrator advised to critically review its internal processes and controls to ensure they are comprehensive.
Ensure the Division strictly adheres to the policies and procedures that do exist.
Ensure the Division develops policies and standard operating procedures, where they do not exist.
The Division said it is important to note the discrepancies identified in the report occurred during the period October 1st 2020 to September 30th 2021, which was during the tenure of the previous administration.
It said Assemblyman Dr. Faith B.Yisrael, Secretary of Health, Wellness and Social Protection and Assemblyman Sonny Craig, Assistant Secretary in the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection have reviewed the report.
