THA 6-6 deadlock negatively impacting business in Tobago

The six –six deadlock situation currently facing the Tobago House of Assembly is having a negative impact on many businesses which provides various goods and services to the THA.

Chairman of the Tobago Business Chamber, Martin George, said many business operators are experiencing the fallout from the tie between the Progressive Democratic Patriots and the People’s National Movement in the Tobago House of Assembly election in January this year.

The TBC Chairman reflected on the implication of the THA deadlock during the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102fm on Wednesday.

The TBC Head said the business community has benefited from financial grants from the government during the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the TBC Chairman said the development also highlighted the importance of establishments satisfying various statutory
requirements.
