Texas nurse given death penalty for injecting patients with air

A former nurse in Texas has received the death penalty for injecting four patients with air.

William George Davis, 37, was sentenced to death for fatally injecting male patients’ arteries with air following their open-heart surgeries.

Davis killed four patients, by injecting air into their arterial lines, resulting in brain damage.

The jury handed down their sentence for the former cardiac intensive care unit nurse after two hours of deliberation.

The jury decided he “has a probability of being a danger to society and found there are not sufficient mitigating factors that would hinder him from receiving the death penalty.”
