The Ministry of Works and Transport is advising the public that there will be a temporary closure on the Hermitage Road in the vicinity of Macaulay Village (between the 3.7 and 3.8 km mark) next week Monday and Tuesday (August 26&27) between 8am and 4pm.
The ministry said this has become necessary to facilitate the installation/changing of a 10-inch pipeline by Trinidad Cement Limited.
In a statement, the ministry explained that this section of the road will be closed to all vehicular traffic, however it will be reopened after 4pm.
Alternative routes are available through Hermitage Road, onto Forres Park Road, onto Macaulay Trace during the hours of work.
The public is therefore advised to use the recommended routes, proceed with caution and comply with police officers on site.
