A teenager is nursing gunshot wounds to the lower part of his body after being shot in a car on Tuesday night.
Around 8:40p.m, 18-year-old Dwight Yorke from Bon Air was sitting in the passenger side of a car which was traveling along Pope Avenue in Arima, when a man began shooting the car. Yorke sustained gunshot wounds to his back and waist.
Yorke was taken to the hospital where emergency surgery was performed on him. He is said to be warded in a stable condition.
Officers who responded to the scene of the crime found six spent shells.
Police are continuing investigations.
