An 18-year-old man was killed on Thursday while playing a game of football.
Around 3:50p.m, Kwami Lambert and his group of friends were playing football at Fairley Street, Tunapuna when a man in a green gorilla mask opened fire on the group. The gunman then fled the scene.
Lambert was shot multiple times in the back and neck but still made it home a short distance away, where his mother got a car and took him to Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt. Hope. He succumbed to his injuries a few hours after.
Officers who responded to the report found four spent shells at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
