An 18-year-old teenager was found with a gun and ammunition in Pinto Road, Arima, on Sunday morning.
Officers of the Northern Division Task Force North and the Pinto Road Police Post went to a house on Savannah Drive, Pinto, at around 11.15 am to search for weapons.
The officers found a Taurus .40 calibre pistol with six rounds of ammunition.
Arima police are continuing enquiries.
