Teen arrested for stealing police officer’s gun

A teenager is in custody after he stole a retired officer’s gun and ammunition. He was arrested with another man.

Police indicate that the teen was among a group of people who were cleaning the yard of the retired police officer, when the teen broke into the officer’s house and stole the items. The incident occurred between Monday and Tuesday of this week, as the police officer last saw his gun on Monday night around 8:00p.m.

Investigations led a team officers to the teen’s house on Wednesday night where they found the gun in his bedroom, in a cabinet. The teen lives at Bank Village, Carapichaima.

The teen identified another man that he wanted to give the gun to. That man was also arrested.
