During an ‘Operation Strike Back 2’ anti-crime exercise conducted in the Port of Spain Division, Besson Street district on Wednesday 6th November, officers found and seized one Tec-9 semi-automatic firearm with an extended magazine containing four (4) rounds 9mm ammunition.
The items were recovered while officers were searching a bushy area off a track at 1st Hamlet Trace, Laventille.
The operation was coordinated by ACP Williams, Superintendents Simon and Rampath and supervised by Insp. McGuirk, Sgt. Lucas (Ag.), Cpl. Wright (Ag.) and members of the Port of Spain Division Task Force.
Investigations are continuing.
