There continues to be concern with the impending gas hike recently announced by the Minister of Finance Com Imbert.
President of the Tobago Chamber Martin George says that the Chamber does understand the financial position that the Government finds itself.
Speaking with News Power Now this morning he said that the Chamber fully understands the need for the Government to balance its budgetary allocations.
He said they also understand the need to try to increase its revenue to ensure that its revenue matches its expenditure.
However he says that the decision to raise the price of gas comes at a particularly difficult time for businesses and the public at large in Tobago.
