The BBC is reporting talks between Russia and Ukraine to end the war are on hold, both sides confirm.
Russia says Ukraine has “practically withdrawn” from the negotiations, while Kyiv blames Moscow for failing to compromise
Meanwhile, Ukraine is working on the next stages of the operation to evacuate soldiers from the Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol.
More than 260 fighters – some badly wounded – were taken to Russian-controlled territory late on Monday.
At least seven more buses were reported to have left the steelworks on Tuesday, escorted by pro-Russian forces.
Meanwhile, people remain trapped in the Azovstal plant and efforts to rescue them are said to be ongoing.
Ukrainian officials say elsewhere, eight people have died after Russian missiles hit a village near the north-eastern city of Chernihiv.
