Tabaquite teen dies in suspected suicide

A 17-year-old Tabaquite teen died by suicide on Monday morning.

Relatives of the teen – a form five student of Tabaquite Secondary School, said the boy had been stressed and worried about sitting his Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination on Monday.

Two female relatives found his body at around 8.30 am.

A gun with live rounds of ammunition were found at the scene.

The boy’s father is a police sergeant in the Southern Division.
