The Trinidad and Tobago Solid Waste Management Company Limited SWMCOL is advising waste haulers utilizing the Beetham Landfill Site of a delay in entering the site on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
It says this is expected to continue until the end of the year.
In a media release on Wednesday, SWMCOL said this delay is due to the relocation of the Tipping Place to facilitate the disposal of waste in a manner that prioritizes the safety of all Landfill users.
The Company urges Landfill users to exercise patience while awaiting access to the site, as in addition to the challenges experienced due to inclement weather this year, waste haulage increases around this time of the year.
The Company reminds users to exercise caution while carrying out their duty.
