Suspects held for stealing $20,000 worth in tyres

Two men are expected to be charged today following a report of larceny of a dwelling house.

On June 9th, a 50-year-old man, of La Fortune, Bois Jean Jean, Moruga, reported that he secured his home and went out.

When he returned later that day, he discovered two tractor tyres and three rotavators shafts, worth over $20,000, missing.

Officers of the Southern Division Task Force and Moruga Police Station were called in to investigate.

The investigations led to two suspects being arrested. Search warrants executed at their homes resulted in the discovery of the stolen items.

Both men were arrested and taken to the Moruga Police Station to be formally charged for the offence.
