Suspect in Bharatt case in ICU after attempted escape

One suspect in the disappearance of Andrea Bharatt is in Intensive Care at hospital.

This follows the death of another suspect on February 1st.

Reports are that the suspect in the Bharatt kidnapping, who was charged for 70 offences between 2004-2017 (23 of which were dismissed for lack of police appearance) is in the ICU after he was subdued by police during an escape attempt.

Bharatt, 22, a clerk at the Arima Magistrates’ Court, and a colleague reportedly boarded what they believed was a taxi at King Street in Arima.

Bharatt’s colleague was dropped off but she never arrived home.

She is yet to be found.
