Successful Return Of Students To Face To Face School

99% of the Ministry of Education’s 600 odd schools were able to welcome students physically today.

In a media release Monday the Ministry said at secondary schools, teacher and student attendance averaged 84.5% and 65%.

At primary schools ninety-one percent of teachers and 23% of students were in attendance.

The Ministry says it will continue to provide critical support to schools to ensure by Wednesday all schools can resume physical operations.

In addressing students at El Socorro South Government Primary School, Education Minister, Dr Nyan Gabsby Dolly, encouraged all students to take full advantage of the educational opportunities they have been given and reiterated the value of schooling.

Tomorrow both Minister Gabsby Dolly and Minister Lisa Morris Julian and a team of officials from the Ministry are expected to visit schools in South Trinidad.

Today officials from the Ministry visited six schools in East and North Trinidad to meet with school officials and children on the first day of in person classes for Standard Five and Form one to three.
