Student Support Services Report Success In Treating Students With Mental Health Issues

The Student Support Services Division of the Ministry of Education is reporting it is seeing success in treating with students displaying mental health issues.

Education Minister, Dr Nyan Gadsby Dolly, says there are several measures in place to help students treat with issues such as fatigue, social isolation, anxiety and stress especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Senate was told on Thursday afternoon that, with very few exceptions, each school has an assigned guidance councillor and school social worker.

These are the personnel which will do the interventions which are necessary after doing the needs assessments with the students.
