Streaming a Zoom Meeting or Webinar on YouTube Live

In an effort to improve the user experience from mobile devices, Zoom has introduced a series of changes and new features to its platform as part of the latest update to its application for Android.

With the release of version 5.4.0.434, Zoom now supports live streaming of video calls via YouTube directly from the phone. To access this function, you first need to make some settings.

To get started, users must have a YouTube channel that meets the requirements to stream. Then, they will have to enter the Zoom web portal, go to Account Management

Once enabled, the feature will be available in the Android. When you start a new meeting, just drop down the ‘More’ menu and select the option Live stream on YouTube. This will open your browser and allow you to link your YouTube account with Zoom.

Next, the application will allow you to specify the title of the meeting / seminar and choose the level of privacy that the transmission will have (Public, Unlisted or Private). Finally, you have to click on the Go Live! and voila, the live will start.
