State Of Emergency To End At Midnight

As of midnight tonight, the State of the Emergency in Trinidad and Tobago will come to an end.

In the House of Representatives Wednesday afternoon, the motion “the revocation of proclamation declaring state of emergency” was carried following the vote on it.

Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, piloted the motion.

All on the government side voted in favor of the motion.

However, Opposition Members of Parliament abstained.

No member voted against the motion.
