Children with special needs will be attended to in the new academic year.
Speaking on Power 102 this morning, Education Minister Anthony Garcia said he plans to hold discussions with all stakeholders who have an interest in special needs children. Following the meeting and after data has been collected, the Ministry will work alongside the stakeholders to make accommodations for special needs students.
In the mean time, repair works are still being conducted at several schools across Trinidad. Garcia said that urgent repair work will be completed when school is dismissed this afternoon, and throughout the school term. The Ministry will work with several Regional Corporations to complete this task. But, the Minister noted that the repairs will not hamper classes.
