Spain To Gift TT 40,000 Pfizer Vaccines For Children Five To Eleven

The government of Spain has offered Trinidad and Tobago a gift of forty thousand Pfizer Paediatric Vaccines.

Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, says when these vaccines are received the vaccination programme for children five to eleven years in Trinidad and Tobago will commence.

Minister Deyalsingh said the government at this time has no firm date on when the measure will start for children of this age group.

The Health Minister gave the update in the parliament Friday afternoon as he responded to a question from the Opposition.

Mr Deyalsingh said the government is working  behind the scenes to get the vaccines for children in the shortest possible time.
