Commissioner Griffith in a statement on Facebook said officers were out from as early as 7 am, and went into communities and delivered the hampers.
The hampers, donated by the business community, were delivered in areas such as Maloney, La Horquetta, Arima, Laventille, and Caroni.
The officers also visited several homes. The SORT team was led by Inspector Mark Hernandez. The hamper drive was an initiative of Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith.
