Some Massy Stores branches reopen following yesterday’s cyber attack

Some of the 23 Massy stores are open for business this morning according to VP Communication and Marketing Rep Candice Ali.

Westmoorings, Maraval, Alyce Glen, St Augustine, El Dorado, Chaguanas and Brentwood re-opened  to customers today.

Massy Stores has confirmed it was the target of a cyber-security attack which led to the technical difficulties experienced at all stores across the country on Thursday.

The company said it took immediate action, suspending all customer-facing systems, and has been working with third party experts to resolve the situation.

Ali told the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital this morning that there will be continued updates throughout the day on their website and she also informed customers that while the card system is not up and running at this time they will still be able to get their points with their bills.

Customers are advised to email a photo of their entire bill and their Massy Card number (on the back of the card) to [email protected].  A member of the Massy Card team will manually credit your account with the Massy Points due to you based on your bill.  Customers can also contact us at 737 1669 for more information about the Massy Card.

Ali stated that investigations are being carried out by the Massy team to decipher details of the attack.
