SoE extended are cases declining? – 18 deaths – 612 new cases

The State of Emergency in Trinidad and Tobago will now run for an extended three months, this in an effort to curb the increase in COVID-19 cases and limit movement from the population – however the country’s cases have seemingly been rising along with Covid related deaths.

Today’s Ministry of Health’s clinical update shows 612 new COVID-19 cases, 443 in hospital, 170 in state quarantine, 7,195 in self-isolation and 194 in step down facilities.

The country’s death toll is now at 408 with 18 new deaths recorded today, as at May 25th.

A total of 8,444 new active cases, while there has been 72,120 vaccinations.
