Sixteen Unlincensed Children’s Homes In TT

There are sixteen children’s homes in Trinidad and Tobago which are unlicensed.

However, the names of the unlicensed homes were not made public during today’s sitting of the Standing Finance Committee.

Those licensed to operate stands at twenty-three.

This revelation was made known by Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Ayanna Webster Roy, during today’s sitting of the Standing Finance Committee.

Minister Webster Roy was questioned by Opposition Senator, Barry Padarath, on the breakdown of the children’s homes in terms of contribution.

On another issue, Minister Webster Roy, was asked how the 22 million, 397 thousand dollars will address challenges at the Children’s Authority.
