Six more persons have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ministry of Health says this brings the number of individuals who have died from the virus locally to one thousand, three hundred and forty-two.
In its latest clinical update on Tuesday afternoon, the Ministry reported one hundred and eighty-nine new positive cases in the past forty-eight hours.
It said there are two hundred and eighty-eight patients in hospital with the virus.
Three thousand, one hundred and thirty-seven persons are in home self-isolation.
One hundred and thirty four persons are in state quarantine facilities and seventy-seven in step down facilities.
Forty thousand, nine hundred and eighty patients have recovered from the virus in Trinidad and Tobago.
