One shotgun was found and seized by officers of the Western Division Gang and Intelligence Unit during a Strike Back exercise in El Socorro.
The exercise was conducted between 10:30 am and 12 noon on Saturday 19th June 2021.
Based on information received, officers proceeded to the El Socorro Extension Road where they conducted a search of several bushy areas along a riverbank.
The search resulted in officers finding a black plastic bag hidden under a heap of grass, further, checks revealed one 12 Gauge Remington 870 Magnum Shotgun.
PC Joseph is continuing investigations.
