A Princes Town teen was murdered in Claxton Bay on Tuesday.
Dead is 16-year-old Tamika Griffith of Iere Village.
Griffith, who was staying with relatives at Sookoo Trace, Claxton Bay, was found bleeding from a gunshot wound to her head.
A male relative of Griffith, who is also 16, reported to police that he left the house for a short while, leaving the young girl in the house by herself, and when he returned around 2:30pm, he found Griffith bleeding from a wound to the head.
He contacted his mother, who was at work, and the police.
Griffith was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where she died a few hours later while being treated.
Police are continuing with investigations.
