Shop thieves arrested in Chase Village

Police arrested two men for attempting to break into a shop in Chase Village on March 21st, 2021.
On Sunday, officers of the Freeport Police Station were contacted about a shop breaking in progress.

The officers arrived at the business place, made checks and discovered a window located on the southern side of the premises tampered with.
The officers went in search of suspects. Two men were spotted a short distance away. The officers approached the suspects and searched them.

The officers discovered a black and yellow screwdriver and a silver blade in the back pants pocket of one of the suspects. The men had no excuse for the items.

A 41-year-old man, of Bhagna Trace, Chase Village, and a 26-year-old man, of Uquire Road, Freeport, were both arrested and taken to the Freeport Police Station for further investigation.
