Shooting in St Helena – Man killed, neighbor and 2 children wounded

A businessman was killed on Saturday in the St Helena area and two children were also wounded in the incident.

According to reports, Narindra Sinanan, aka ‘Scars’, was outside his Airport Boulevard, Caroni home around 2pm, washing his vehicle and talking to his 40 year old neighbor.

It was during this time that two men, armed with guns, alighted a Toyota Axio and began shooting.

Sinanan is said to have run inside his home, but was chased by the attackers, who shot him several times.
He was rushed to hospital, but died on arrival.

His neighbor, along with two children who were in the yard at the time, were also hit during the melee.

Police are continuing with their investigations.
