One man was killed and another wounded following an early morning shooting in Malick.
The deceased has been identified as Shem Hope.
A relative of Hope reported that around 3am, Hope and another man were in the garage of the house at Upper Sixth Avenue, Malick, when shots rang out.
The relative, who was in the house at the time, heard the gunshots and on checking saw Hope and the other man bleeding on the ground.
Police were notified and upon their arrival, they took the wounded man to the hospital where he was treated.
A district medical officer went to the area and declared Hope dead.
Investigations are continuing.
