UPDATE: Sharon Rowley: “Teach gender based violence in primary schools!”

There has been a call for gender based violence awareness to be taught at the primary school level.
The call comes from Prime Minister’s wife Sharon Rowley.
She was at the time speaking during a National Champion Spotlight initiative in Tobago.

The Forum was titled: Gender Based Violence and Me, Insights and Solutions from the Youth of the Region was held in conjunction with ICAN and the UNFPA.
Activist Kaleem Ali a member of Youth Votes Matter said there must be legislative change to include members of the LGBTQIA.
