Sex Toy Company Receives Award From Queen Elizabeth

The Queen has given royal recognition to a sex toy company.

Lovehoney, an online retailer for lingerie, masks, vibrators, dildos, couple sex toy ranges and more, received The Queens Award for Enterprise which is described as “the highest accolade for business success.”

A press release by the company said, “The Queen has honoured the UK’s biggest sexual wellness brand with a top award.

“Lovehoney has received The Queen’s Award for Enterprise for outstanding continuous growth in overseas sales over the last six years.”

Debbie Bond, chief commercial officer of the company said, “Her Majesty has been a wonderful supporter of Lovehoney.”

Lovehoney’s sales have risen from £12 million to £56 million in the last six years.

Thanks to the award, the company can now use the Queen’s Award emblem on its marketing material.

This news follows a sombre time for Queen Elizabeth II who recently celebrated her 95th birthday which also marked her first without her husband Prince Philip.

Prince Philip, 99, passed away following a long duration spent in hospital.

Announcing his death in a statement, Buckingham Palace said,

“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”

The Duke’s funeral was a lowkey affair and only welcomed 30 guests due to restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Guests included Prince William., Prince Harry, Prince Charles and The Queen.
