Seven new COVID-19 cases, 207 in state quarantine

The Ministry of Health says seven additional persons have tested positive for COVID-19.

It says these new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the Chief Medical Officer of Health.

In its latest clinical update the Ministry says there have been five recovered community cases.

 

 

The Ministry says recovered community cases refer to persons who were previously COVID-19 positive and in self –isolation at home and subsequently met the discharge criteria and was released from self-isolation.

The Ministry says at present there are twelve persons at hospital with the virus.

It says there are one hundred and one persons in self-home –isolation, two hundred and seven patients in state quarantine facilities and two patients at step down facilities.

The Ministry says seven thousand, four hundred and thirty-six persons (436) have recovered from the virus.

It says to date one hundred and thirty-nine have died from COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
