Services offered at the Port of Spain General Hospital will continue even while demolition of the Central Block takes place next week.
Medical Director, Dr Shahiba Barrow, says the public can expect a change in clinic hours which will take place from 6am and 9am.
Dr Barrow said the majority of services offered at the hospital will continue as normal.
Speaking at a news briefing held by the Ministry of Health on the Redevelopment of the Port of Spain General Hospital Campus on Tuesday, the Medical Director said in terms of patient care some of the individuals will be relocated to the St James medical facility.
Head of Surgery at the Port of Spain General Hospital, Dr Dexter Thomas, highlighted the various arrangements which will be put in place during the levelling process.
Dr Thomas said there are back up plans in place which will allow for construction to be stopped if there is need to do so to allow surgeries to be carried out.
