Senate meeting today to discuss $100 polymer bill

The Senate will sit today, Saturday 7th December to debate The Miscellaneous Provisions (Proceeds of Crime and Central Bank) Bill, 2019.

Deliberations will begin at 1:30p.m.

Senators will be discussing legislation which will seek to introduce the new $100 polymer note into the local market. The new bill is said to curb criminal activities such as money laundering.
