Security officer held for school break-in

A 32-year-old security officer attached to a primary school in Chaguanas was arrested for breaking into the school following a report of larceny on Wednesday October 21st.

According to the school’s principal, on the same date, she locked all doors and windows of the compound and left.

When she returned, she discovered the padlock which secured the gate leading to the school’s library pried opened.

Further checks revealed that one super power mini sound system  and one LG speaker, with a combined value of $4,000, were missing.

The police were immediately contacted and officers of the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department (CID) responded.

WPC Sargent led investigations into the case which resulted in the arrest of the school’s security officer.

The suspect is currently in police custody assisting detectives with their investigations
