Principal Medical Officer for Institutions, Dr Marayam Abdool-Richards, says Trinidad and Tobago has recorded a second case of the United Kingdom variant of COVID-19.
The senior medical official made the revelation while speaking at the Ministry of Health news briefing on Monday and urged citizens to be vigilant.
Dr Abdul Richards said there is evidence of an increase in the amount of community cases of the virus.
