Search on for man and woman following fight, chopping at South Park Mall

The search continues today for a man and a woman, in connection with an altercation in San Fernando on Friday morning, which left the victims – two females, nursing injuries.

The victims were an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman, both of Orchid Gardens, Pleasantville.

Reports state that around 5:30am, the victims were at Steel Restaurant and Lounge at South Park mall, in Tarouba, when they observed a woman holding her phone and recording.

When they approached the woman, who was seated with a male, and enquired of what she was doing, an argument ensued.

The man is said to have slapped one of the women to her face then pushed her.
The argument then escalated into a brawl and the second victim sustained a wound to her head.

The group was eventually escorted from the mall by security officers, but the fight did not end, as the man attacked the first victim with a cutlass and chopped her on both hands.

The man and woman ran off and escaped.

The victims were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where they were treated.
PC Jogie is continuing investigations.
