Police are continuing the search for four men, who invaded the Princes Town home of a pensioner on Tuesday night, stealing cash, valuables and her Toyota Aqua car.
Daisy Seereeram, 72, of Sahai Trace in Borde Narve, told police she was watching TV at about 8.45 pm on Tuesday, when her dogs kept barking.
When she went to investigate, four men accosted her at the front door. One of them hit her and tied up her hands and feet. They then ransacked the house and stole about $500, her cellphone, her car and other valuables.
The elderly woman managed to untie herself and notify her neighbours, who in turn immediately contact the police.
Seereeram was taken to the Princes Town District Heath Facility that same night and was treated and discharged.
PCs Isaac and Dennis of the CID are investigating.
