The search for Jeneca Kezia Guerra ended in tragedy on Thursday morning, as her body was found buried in a grave along a river bank in Maracas Valley, St. Joseph.
A joint effort between officers and hunters led to the discovery of Ms Guerra’s body.
Acting on information received, around 8:20am officers of Northern Division Task Force (Area East) and Operations Unit, with the assistance of hunters, went to a forested area some 300 feet off the roadway.
There, they found the body in a shallow grave.
Police have confirmed that two persons are now in custody in connection with her death.
Friends and relatives were on the scene when her body was recovered.
Her grieving boyfriend spoke to the media and shared his last memories of Jeneka.
