The Trinidad and Tobago Scrap Iron Dealers Association is expressing concern over the awarding of contracts for the disposal of scrap iron and metals at former Petrotrin compound claiming it is flawed.
The group reportedly lost its bid for part of the lots.
However, speaking at a news briefing this week, President of the Scrap Iron Dealers Association, Allan Ferguson, claimed the rules surrounding the purchasing of material is in need of review describing it as morally wrong.
Mr Ferguson said this development must be strongly resisted.
Mr Ferguson describes the situation as not fair claiming the group’s submission was not even considered.
