A 51-year-old scrap iron dealer was shot and killed in Arima on Saturday.
Andrew “Mongo” Corbin of Mottley Road, Pinto Trace, Arima, was visiting his daughter’s home at the corner of La Retreat and River Valley Roads, Arima, around 1pm, when he was ambushed by a gunman.
Reports are that Corbin was seated on a couch in the house when the gunman entered and shot him dead before running off and escaping.
Corbin was pronounced dead at the scene. A motive for the killing has not been established said police.
Investigations are ongoing.
