Sando Business Association President: Businesses Still Reeling From Closure Of Point-a-Pierre Refinery.

People affected by the closure of the Point-a-Pierre refinery are still awaiting stimulus activities from the government to fill the void left by the state owned company.

This claim is being made by President of the San Fernando Business Association, Daphne Bartlett.

Ms. Bartlett says many businesses have also been feeling the effects of the refinery closure and are finding it difficult to survive and be competitive.

Speaking in an interview with Power 102 Digital, reflecting on Monday’s national budget, Ms Bartlett said this is an  aspect which should be urgently revisited as opportunities to employ people will give them greater spending capacity.
