The Roxborough Health Facility, which was built at a cost of $98 million in 18 months, was officially opened on Monday.
Tobago East residents got their first taste of the new facility as all primary care services were made available to the public between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm, to kick off services.
The Division of Health and Wellness said full hospital services will begin at a later date.
The Tobago Regional Health Authority took possession of the facility from UDECOTT last Saturday afternoon with a simple handover of keys and relevant documents and a walkthrough.
