Route Two Maxi Taxi Association To Retain Fares Despite Increase In Diesel Cost

Do not expect any increase in fares from the Route Two Maxi Taxi Association following the fifty cents increase in the cost of diesel.

The increase was announced in Monday’s presentation of the national budget in the House of Representatives by the Minister of Finance.

In an interview with News Power Now on Tuesday afternoon, President of the Association, Linus Phillip, said the group has no plans on the agenda to raise the fares.

Mr Phillip said the public can expect the group to be responsible in how it handles this matter.

Mr Phillip also commended the government for how it has been gradually reducing the subsidy on fuel every year getting the population to get accustom with the adjustment over a period of time.
