Rousillac man arrested during an anti-crime exercise

A 26-year-old Rousillac man was arrested for being in possession of a firearm. He was held during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the South Western Division on Tuesday 24th November, 2020.

A TTPS report states that around 12.10pm on Tuesday, a party of officers were on an exercise along Rumstill Avenue, Rousillac, when PC Francis observed a man walking along the said road.

The man looked in the direction of the police vehicle and ran away.

PC Francis and the party of officers chased the man who was held a short distance away.

Officers searched the man and found firearm in a black bag he was wearing across his chest. The firearm was seized and the suspect was arrested.
