Romario Shepherd contracts Covid, Harding to replace him on Windies tour of Bangladesh

West Indies cricketer Romario Shepherd has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be replaced for the tour of Bangladesh later this month.

According to Cricket West Indies, the all-rounder returned the positive test in his Guyana hometown.

Shepherd will remain there and is undergoing a period of isolation that will extend beyond the team’s travel date.

Keon Harding will go to Bangladesh in his place as the team gears up to play three ODIs later this month.

There are also two Tests on the tour with both taking place in February.

Harding, an exciting young 24-year-old fast bowler, was among the traveling reserves for the Sandals West Indies Test tour of England last summer.
